The Future of Stories

How will we share our stories in the future? Are we losing something in the delivery of our stories as we shed physical media? Or is digital media helping our stories change the world? Whatever the medium, people will always seek to share their stories with the world. Join us on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) to help us explore storytelling, past, present, and future!

Want to be part of the event? There are several ways you can participate.

First, we are seeking in-kind and monetary sponsors for lunch and after party catering, videography, marketing, printing, and travel expenses for out-of-town presenters. If your company has cool, hands-on demos or interactive exhibits, we’ll be hosting a wonder zone— a sponsors’ “show-and-tell” area, too. If your company aspires to TED-style big picture thinking and would like to learn more about TEDxTampaBay sponsorship packages, please e-mail us!

We need your help getting the word out about TEDxTampaBay. Whether it is street chalk drawings or hanging posters around your college campus, we’re interested in your ideas about how to spread the word about TEDxTampaBay!.Take photos of your efforts and we’ll post them on our Facebook site. We’ll let the community vote, and the winning entry gets two free tickets to TEDxTampaBay. Want to join the fun? please e-mail us!

We’re going to be selling 300 tickets to this year’s event. Tickets will go on sale in June. We’ve curated some amazing presenters with diverse stories to share. We’re hosting a catered lunch, and (hopefully) an awesome after-party, too. We’re brainstorming with MOSI right now to dream-up cool activities that will add to this amazing day of big ideas.
