Ken Robinson TEDTalk 2010 Call for Education Revolution!

Sir Ken Robinson’s latest TED Talk has recently been released on the TED website. Ken compares today’s educational process to the fast food restaurant business where conformity trumps individuality so that we can measure ‘intelligence’. He briefly questions the current measurement of intelligence, but you will need to read his new book, ‘The Element’, to learn more about his thoughts on that subject. On stage, Ken proposes an agricultural model, where we build the environment for learning at a very individual level and let the love of learning flourish organically. In other words, personalize the education curriculum for each student to ignite passion. Passion for learning feeds our spirit and energies, letting us lose track of time and absorb ourselves completely in our passion. Can you imagine all the amazing ideas, collaborations, inventions, art works, performances, etc. that would result from us all being free to learn and explore what deeply moves us?
